Synopsis: This group decided they could best support their desire to promote educational opportunities in Hendricks County by raising awareness of www.theyreourkids.org. They made the decision to produce bookmark size cards that could be distributed to area libraries, chambers of commerce, churches and hospitals. Synopsis: This group's goal was to designate a literacy program for the H.C. Probation Dept. To increase the literacy levels of selected probationers.  They not only provided a mechanism for identifying those most in need of literacy instruction, but also a plan and a process to deliver that instruction to selected probationers.  Their goal was to decrease recidivism in our courts and jails.
